    This site was created to help the everyday grocery shopper improve their produce picking skills.  Do you ever wonder what a ripe avocado looks and feels like?  Do you wish you knew the secrets to picking out that perfectly ripe watermelon?  This site can help you with these questions and many more.  Here I will explain the techniques I use on a daily basis on my job as a produce clerk.  
 
    When people ask me these questions I must supply them with the most accurate information possible or else I will lose customers.  My goal is to help more people than I can reach at my own store.  With a few simple tips you too can pick out perfect produce.
 
    You’ll also enjoy the many other features this site has to offer.  The Produce Picker Podcast will help demonstrate these produce picking tips.  I will be recommending products that I have used that actually work.  There will be demonstrations on how to cut, slice, and dice all types of fruits and vegetables.
